A health Sugar Glider should have bright eyes with no white spots (cataracts) or discharge. The pelvic bones should not be overly apparent and should have a fleshed appearance. Should have clean, soft, thick fur. Sugar Glider should be alert, active, friendly and curious in nature.
You don't what to start out with a sick sugar glider, as they can go down hill vary fast. You don't want to lose your new friend. They hide their illness vary well. In the wild it could mean life or death to show that they are ill. Also Vet's that take care of gliders might be a fair distanace away and could cost quiet a bit for treatment.
